Orchestra) and respected electronic musician Andreas Tilliander come together in an ambient and vibrant duo collaboration, where Kajfeš's love for brass rhythms and pulse beautifully merges with Tilliander's explorative and diverse ambient-electronic sound world. When they visit ALICE during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, they will perform the brand new piece "In Cmin" – a tribute to Terry Riley's iconic "In C".
Two of Sweden's most respected musicians from the jazz and electronic scenes respectively, Goran Kajfeš and Andreas Tilliander, join forces in a vibrant duo collaboration at ALICE during Copenhagen Jazz Festival. Although Tilliander and Kajfeš come from very different musical backgrounds, they have found in each other a like-minded curiosity alongside the desire to constantly search for new ways to challenge both themselves and the audience. In their music, the analog meets the digital, and Kajfeš's love for brass rhythms and pulse blend beautifully with Tilliander's explorative and diverse ambient-electronic sound world.
Goran Kajfeš is a trumpeter, band leader, producer, and composer who constantly explores and moves across genres with his various constellations. He has been part of groups like Oddjob, Nacka Forum, Angles 9, Tropiques, and Fire! Orchestra, the last of which ALICE has had the pleasure of presenting before, and he has won the Nordic Music Prize and several Swedish Grammy Awards. Andreas Tilliander is, like few others, a deeply integrated part of the Swedish electronic music scene – both as a long-standing and successful solo artist and active across a wide range of genres under several different names, but also as an enlightening host for the Swedish radio program "Elektroniskt i P2".
The duo has performed several concerts in Sweden since 2019, and now we have the pleasure of hosting them at ALICE during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, where they will present the brand new piece "In Cmin" – a tribute to Terry Riley's iconic "In C".
