Oplev tre lydkunstnere, der flytter grænser, når Fascia, Soli City og Navager gæster ALICE i en showcase-aften for ny eksperimenterende elektronisk musik fra artister bosat i Sverige, Danmark og Norge. Aftenen, der byder på tre performative og progressive kunstnere, er sat sammen af Up Node – en tværnordisk platform for vidensdeling blandt kulturarrangører, der præsenterer eksperimenterende elektronisk musik og lydkunst.

Under aliaset Nagaver dykker den norsk-tamilske billed-, lyd-, og performancekunstner Ilavenil Vasuky Jayapalan ned i tamilsk film- og folkemusik og udfolder temaer såsom modstand, statsdannelse og krigsførelse, som på den kommende LP, ‘OBEY THE KING’, der skal udkomme på det norske pladeselskab Frøya Records. Hør bare nummeret ASURAMANI (FR006) hvor et fremadstormende beat, en forvrænget, dyb stemme og lyde af klingende sværd til sammen skaber noget, der både er opstemmende og uhyggeligt. Med referencer til De Tamilske Tigre såvel som den androgyne og formskiftende figur Naga præsenterer Nagaver modige kompositioner, som bevæger sig gennem destruktion, tab og sorg, såvel som transcendens, magi og håbefuldhed.
Fascia
I projektet FASCIA fremmaner den Malmö-baserede komponist Asta Norborg sig surrealistiske, mytiske og futuristiske queer fantasier. Kroppe morpher, viljer bøjer dem. Det sensuelle møder det digitale i FASCIAs presserende og pulserende kompositioner, hvor stemmen er blevet gjort til noget fremmed, men alligevel føles tryg som en godnatsang. Gennem brug af sensorer og programmering, reagerer teknologien på Asta Norborgs krops bevægelser, og performance og instrument smelter sammen til ét.
Soli City
Under aliaset Soli City undersøger komponist og kunstner den moderne tilværelses emotionelle og æstetiske lag. Experience three boundary-pushing sound artists as Fascia, Soli City, and Navager take the stage at ALICE for a showcase dedicated to new experimental electronic music from artists based in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. This evening, featuring three performative and progressive artists, is curated by Up Node – a trans-Nordic platform for knowledge sharing among cultural organizers presenting experimental electronic music and sound art.
Nagaver
Under the alias Nagaver, Norwegian-Tamil visual, sound, and performance artist Ilavenil Vasuky Jayapalan delves into Tamil film and folk music, exploring themes of resistance, nation-building, and warfare. These themes unfold in the upcoming LP ‘OBEY THE KIN, set to be released on the Norwegian label Frøya Records. Take, for example, the track “ASURAMANI (FR006)”, where a driving beat, a distorted deep voice, and the sound of clashing swords combine to create something both exhilarating and haunting. Drawing references to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam as well as the androgynous, shape-shifting figure Naga, Nagaver presents bold compositions that traverse destruction, loss, and sorrow, as well as transcendence, magic, and hope.
Fascia
In the project FASCIA, Malmö-based composer Asta Norborg conjures surreal, mythical, and futuristic queer fantasies. Bodies morph, wills bend flesh. The sensual meets the digital in FASCIA’s pressing and pulsating compositions, where the voice is transformed into something inrecognizable yet comforting like a lullaby. Through the use of sensors and programming, technology responds to Asta Norborg’s bodily movements, merging performance and instrument into one.
Soli City
Under the alias Soli City, composer and artist Harald explores the emotional and aesthetic layers of modern existence. Soli City’s works often operate at the intersection of composition, coding, and improvisation, bringing together computing power, classical composition, and synthetic voices. "If you have the pleasure of seeing Soli City live, you will also experience how Harald’s use of technology points towards new aesthetic ways of conveying emotions, relationships, and connectedness," writes Passive/Aggressive about the artist, that often works across media and blurs the lines between sound and visuals, melting them together into one, complex hybrid.
