Marta Torrella og Helena Ros, musikerne bag den catalanske duo Tarta Relena, forener folklore fra middelhavsregionen med eksperimenterende, elektroniske produktioner. I deres flerstemmige korarrangementer trækker de på flamencoen, georgiske klagesange og mystikeren Hildegard von Bingen. They bring folk traditions into the present: The Catalan vocal duo Tarta Relena draws on flamenco, Georgian laments, and the mysticism of Hildegard von Bingen, blending these influences with electronic experimentation. They sing in Spanish, Catalan, Greek, Italian, Latin, English, and Ladino—the language of Jews with Spanish roots.
