The experience that is ‘A Throne of Ash’ consists of poisoned blood, dying flesh and the dark ash from the charred body of man – both on a physical and astral plane with the underlying notion that nothing that transpires in what we call ‘reality’ has a greater meaning.

This Gift is a Curse vomit forth a steady stream of pitch-black venomous hate. The Swedes passionately demonstrate that black metal remains fertile ground for new sounds. Combining elements of hardcore and sludge with influences from occult black metal as well as drone, ‘A Throne of Ash’ sets a new benchmark for vitriolic viciousness and massive sonic onslaught. The third full-length of the band from Stockholm has turned out to be a vision of darkness that seeks its equal.

This new monstrous black beast is a dark journey written in a barrage of heavy and intense riffing, ferocious blast beats, nightmarish soundscapes, ritualistic howls and occult themed vocals. Brace for impact!

Chris wanted to create a new project in parallel to Olten and with a specific singer in mind, Tomas Liljedahl known from Breach and The old wind.

The sound is pure ugliness, vile and extremely unpleasant tones with a breeze of melancholy. Scaled, cold and raw as a 3 piece band.

Copenhagen based blackened metal band TRWLR (Pronounced Trawler) was formed in 2015 by singer Lasse Malm Nielsen and guitarist Dalle Oldman who had both roamed the local scene. The vision was to combine the harsh, non-compromising aesthetics of black metal, the groove of metalcore and the majestic, grandiose feel of newer death metal. With thematical inspiration drawn from the sea and its paradoxical role in the lives of men, the vision materialized into a fully realized musical expression in 2016, when TRWLR recorded and released their debut album ‘Vastare Mare’ to notable national praise.

Unfortunately the band experienced quite a setback due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but are now back with (Almost) full force!
The band is also close to finishing their second full length release and will at this show mostly be playing songs from this upcoming album.
