The Slovenian trio Širom brings their mesmerizing fusion of "imaginary folk," cosmic jazz, and hypnotic krautrock to Musik Loppen during Vinterjazz 2025. Drawing inspiration from diverse traditions—North African Gnawa, Middle Eastern meditation, and Indonesian gamelan—Širom crafts a unique soundscape using an array of instruments, from hurdy-gurdy and balafon to ocarinas and handmade resonators.
The trio—Ana Kravanja, Iztok Koren, and Samo Kutin—has captivated audiences at festivals like Roskilde and Fanø Free Folk Festival with their spellbinding performances. Their latest album, The Liquified Throne of Simplicity, celebrated as one of the best records of 2022 by The Quietus, showcases their extraordinary ability to blend intuition and experimentation into a seamless, transportive experience.

Final Descent DJs
Before and after the show, Emilia and Martin of Final Descent will be spinning trippy, folky, and droney records to set the mood. Expect an eclectic mix of long-lost folk traditions, spiritual jazz, glitchy electronics, transcendental repetitions, acoustic drones, and the occasional danceable groove.
Final Descent promotes and presents spiritual, ecstatic, and devotional music in and around Copenhagen.
