Khana Bierbood skaber en berusende samklang i møder mellem forskellige stilarter. Deres charmerende lyd har stærke rødder i 60’ernes surf og 70’ernes psykedeliske garage, men med et twist af oprindelige, thailandske musikgenrer som luk thung og molam. Genrer, som undergik en kæmpe forvandling i 70’erne under indflydelse fra udstationerede, amerikanske soldater, som bragte psykedelisk rock, soul og funk med sig til Thailand via guitarer, vinylplader og radiostationer.
Khana Bierbood blev dannet i 2012. Siden er deres velklingende og charmerende lo-fi lyd gået lige i hjerterne på musikentusiaster verden over. For et par år siden udgav de albummet ‘Strangers from the Far East’, som de turnerede med til spillesteder og festivaler i Europa og Storbritannien – heriblandt ALICE. Vi glæder os til igen at få solstik, når bandet med den varme, psykedeliske lyd indtager ALICEs scene til maj!

Through nostalgic sunshine surf and lo-fi psychedelic garage infused with undertones of traditional Thai music genres, Khana Bierbood takes us on an intoxicating journey from East to West.
Khana Bierbood creates a mesmerizing harmony in the fusion of different styles. Their charming sound is deeply rooted in ’60s surf and ’70s psychedelic garage, but with a twist of indigenous Thai genres like luk thung and molam. These genres underwent a massive transformation in the ’70s, influenced by American soldiers stationed in Thailand, who brought psychedelic rock, soul, and funk with them—via guitars, vinyl records, and radio stations.
Formed in 2012, Khana Bierbood has been winning over music enthusiasts worldwide with their warm, lo-fi sound. A few years ago, they released the album ‘Strangers from the Far East’, which they toured across Europe and the UK — including a stop at ALICE. Watch out for a sunburn when the Thai psychedelia band returns to the ALICE stage this May!
