Med forskellige baggrunde og tilgange, arbejder Julie Østengaard, Sandra Boss og Camille Roth alle sammen med lyd som rumligt materiale. Denne aften præsenterer helt nye værker af dem alle tre, der undersøger nye relationer mellem lyd, performance, rum og teknologi.

Julie Østengaard - Emergence
Emergence, er en elektronisk musik performance, hvor publikums smartphones bliver medskabere af værket via en livestream af lyd, og optræder som lydskabende objekter i rummet. Det er inspireret af naturfænomenet ’emergence’, som set i fugleflokke, hvor komplekse mønstre opstår ud fra simplicitet, og summen bliver større end dens dele.

Sandra Boss – Piece for Hands and Ears, m./Irene Bianco
Værket Piece for Hands & Ears leger med at overføre en persons private akustiske verdensbillede til offentligheden. Med binaurale mikrofoner i ørerne, udsættes to performeres ører for diverse lydpåvirkninger, der transmitteres til publikums egne ører gennem et kvadrofonisk højtaler-setup. Værket opføres af Sandra Boss sammen med Irene Bianco

Camille Roth – Transmissions
Transmissions er en række kvadrofoniske lydstykker skabt ud ud fra optagelser af elektromagnetiske bølger fra telefon og wi-fi-signaler, oversat til lyd. Det er en sanselig og rumlig udforskning af de usynlige men allestedsnærværende digitale signaler, der fylder luftrummet omkring og imellem os, og skaber komplekse forbindelser og udvekslinger af beskeder og information.

With different backgrounds and approaches, Julie Østengaard, Sandra Boss and Camille Roth all work with sound as spatial material. This evening presents completely new pieces by all three of them: exploring new relationships between sound, performance, space and technology.

Julie Østengaard – Emergence
Emergence is an electronic music performance, where the smartphones of the audience become co-creators of the piece, by live-streaming sound and acting as sound-creating objects in in the space. It is inspired by the nature phenomenon ‘emergence’, as seen in flocks of birds, where complex patterns arise out of simplicity and the sum become greater than it’s parts.

Sandra Boss – Piece for Hands and Ears, w/Irene Bianco
Piece for Hands and Ears plays with the act of transferring one person’s private acoustic worldview to the public. With binaural microphones in their ears, two performers are subjected to sound effects, that in turn are transmitted to the audience through a quadraphonic sound system. The piece will be performed by Sandra Boss together with Irene Bianco.

Camille Roth – Transmissions
Transmissions is a series of quadraphonic sound pieces created from recordings of electromagnetic waves from telephone- and wi-fi signals, translated into sound. It is a sensuous and spatial exploration of the invisible but ubiquitous digital signals, that fill the airspace all around us, creating complex connections and exchanges of information and messages.
