Amy Gadiaga (udtales AH-MI) er en bassist, sanger og komponist fra Paris’ forstæder, nu baseret i London, hvor hun hurtigt har markeret sig som en af de mest spændende nye stemmer på jazzscenen.
Hun er uddannet fra Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance og modtager af flere anerkendelser – herunder en pris fra Royal Philharmonic Society og en nominering som “Jazz Newcomer of the Year” ved årets Parliamentary Jazz Awards.
Med inspiration fra old-school jazzikoner som Betty Carter og Wayne Shorter, skaber Amy sin egen energiske og nærværende stil, der både hylder traditionen og rækker ud mod nye horisonter.
Hendes koncerter er intense, levende og præget af en tydelig kærlighed til musikken som fri kunstform.

AKIRA.DRUMS (JP)
Akira Nakamuras soloprojekt akira.drums fra Okinawa arbejder med minimalistiske visuals i samspil med langstrakte, hypnotiske rytmeforløb. Med rødder i jazz og electronica og med inspiration fra Steve Reich, japansk folkemusik og krautrock skaber han rytmisk komplekse lydlandskaber, der – i mødet med stilrene grafiske visuals og elektroniske støjflader – bliver til en forunderlig og dragende oplevelse.
Han har boet og studeret i både Berlin og New York, hvilket har sat tydelige spor i Nakamuras musik, hvor man kan høre referencer til både Berghain og Blue Note.
akira.drums er en del af Final Descent’s Artist in Residency 2025, hvor tre japanske musikere gæster Copenhagen Jazz Festival med både solokoncerter og nye, spændende samarbejder.

Amy Gadiaga (pronounced AH-MI) is a bassist, singer, and composer from the suburbs of Paris, now based in London, where she has quickly made her mark as one of the most exciting new voices on the jazz scene.
A graduate of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Amy has received numerous accolades, including an award from the Royal Philharmonic Society and a nomination for “Jazz Newcomer of the Year” at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards.
Drawing inspiration from old-school jazz legends like Betty Carter and Wayne Shorter, Amy blends tradition with her own vibrant and soulful expression.

AKIRA.DRUMS (JP)
Akira Nakamura’s solo project akira.drums, from Okinawa, blends minimalist visuals with extended, hypnotic rhythmic progressions. With roots in jazz and electronica, and inspired by Steve Reich, Japanese folk music, and krautrock, he creates rhythmically complex soundscapes that, when combined with sleek graphic visuals and layers of electronic noise, form a captivating and mesmerizing experience.
He has lived and studied in both Berlin and New York, influences that are clearly reflected in Nakamura’s music, where references to both Berghain and Blue Note can be heard.

akira.drums is part of Final Descent’s Artist in Residency 2025, where three Japanese musicians will visit Copenhagen Jazz Festival with solo performances and exciting new collaborations.
