FIEBRE is a choreographic work departing from a fictional landscape exploring a sensual gooey material.

FIEBRE comes from a desire of creating an intimate, inceptive space where three dancers progressively explore the possibilities of a viscous and sentimental apparatus. Moving through trajectories of physical states, erotic togetherness, sexuality, sincereness and rawness.

FIEBRE intends to imagine other ways of being together for thresholding and transformation. Eroticism becomes a source of empowerment where desire, disgust and alienation are free to coexist and feed each other.

FIEBRE is built on cooperation and care, the work relies essentially on the group. Re-framing the inherited hierarchies of the different parts of labour in such a work and their respective visibilities aiming to shake up structural ways of putting cheer to the singular author.

The piece won the Young Choreographers’ Award at Impulstanz festival in 2021.

BIOGRAFIER:
Tamara Alegre (IC/CH)
She/they
Tamara Alegre works with dance and choreography in a field of research that revolves around using sensual embodiments, fictions on sexuality, and liminal physical states as choreographic tools. Alegre has a growing passion for dancehall and being involved in collaborative exchanges is essential to their practice. They studied European business and psychology and organized underground musical events, worked as a DJ, and tour manager until 2016. In 2018, they obtained an MA in choreography at DOCH, Stockholm. Alegre has previously danced for La Ribot and Mårten Spångberg, Nikima Jagudajev, Carlos María Romero, and PRICE and is now artist in residence for a three-year period at Arsenic, Lausanne.

Lydia Östberg Diakité (SE/CI)
They/them
Lydia Östberg Diakité is a choreographer, dancer, artist, and union organiser whose work revolves around rethinking subjectivity, popular cultural phenomena, and hyper-performativity departing from a black intersectional feminist practice. Östberg Diakité graduated from The Danish National School of Performing arts – Dance and Choreography Studies in 2017 and has since toured with numerous pieces internationally: their most recent work is Immortal Summit (2021), a choreographic conversation, created jointly with BamBam Frost in 2021; other works include CRY BABY in 2020, and FIEBRE in 2018 – winner of The ImPulsTanz Young Choreographers’ Awards – [8:tension] series 2021, co-choreographed with Tamara Alegre and Marie Ursin. Diakité co-founded the Dance Cooperative (2019), an artist-run studio in Copenhagen and sits on the board of The Union (2018), a cultural workers union that works to create critical discourse locally and to eliminate racism on the art and culture scene in Denmark.

Nunu Flashdem (CD/CH)
She/her
Nunu Flashdem is a Congolese-Swiss dancer and plus-size model based in London since 2021. Flashdem has a background in various circus disciplines and currently works as a professional dancehall and Twerk dancer and teacher. She performs at different events and concerts, amongst others Kranium, Charly Black, and Cali P, and shoots music videos with other artists around Europe. Recently, Flashdem has featured in videos with Palms, Wrstrn, Avelino, Not3s, and Yungen and modelled for Named Collective. In 2018, she created Flashdem Entertainment.

Élie Autin (FR/CH)
She/her
Elie Autin is a model, dancer, and artist. Autin studied contemporary dance at the Manufacture HES-SO in Lausanne. Directly after obtaining her diploma, Autin worked on various artistic projects and productions within theatre, dance, and performance as a performer, but also as creator and co-creator. Autin has, among others, worked with Tamara Alegre, Marvin M’Toumo, Natasza Gerlach, Caner Teker, Juliette Uzor, Nagi Gianni, and Alexandre Doublet. Recently, she showed her first sculpture installation at a group exhibition at La Rada in Locarno, Switzerland, and is now taking her artistic work in new directions.

Marie Ursin (NO)
She/her
Marie Ursin works with dance, choreography, curating, and organization, always based on collaborative processes and hybrid formats. She studied dance and performance at the Stockholm University of the Arts (DOCH). Since 2013, she has been the artistic director of the annual experimental residency project, Scene:Bluss, in collaboration with Alexandra Tveit. Ursin has, among others, worked with Margrét Sara Guðjónsdóttir, Mette Ingvartsen, Runa Borch Skolseg, Nikhil Vettukattil, Marie Nikazm Bakken, Fredrik Floen, and Nikima Jagudajev.
