Med sin bratsch er den svenske musiker Mika Persdotter aktiv i mange konstellationer og arbejder ofte inden for eksperimentel samtidsmusik med projekter som Halvcirkel, Damkapellet og Wolfskin Ensemble. I sit soloprojekt Mika Akim arbejder hun i en mere sangbaseret retning, mens hun stadig giver masser af plads til bratsch og viola d'amore. Hun er blevet beskrevet som en musikalsk søster til kunstnere som Sam Amidon, Adrienne Lenker og Joni Mitchell og formår at skabe sange, der er rige på både melankoli og trodsigt håb. Hendes minimalistiske musik består af ostinater, teksturerede lyde på strengeinstrumenter og enkle melodier. Tekster om kroppen, hukommelse og tid. Siden hendes debut i 2020 har Mika Akim udgivet to albums "Till Kroppen" og "Tillsammans" og spillet koncerter i Danmark, Sverige, Tjekkiet, Tyskland, Frankrig og Chile.
Gentle Creatures er et projektet af komponist og Tonemeister Pape Arce Bayona. Med enkle, men oprigtige tekster, varieret instrumentering og idiosynkratisk arrangement, der minder om bands som Jonathan Richman, Destroyer og St. Vincent, fokuserer musikken på vores forhold til hinanden og til os selv; Øjeblikkene, stederne, personerne, der formede måden, du ser dig selv på. Det lyder som en pizzafest med din yndlingsperson i verden.

With her viola, Swedish musician Mika Persdotter is active in many constellations, often working in the fields of experimental contemporary music with projects like Halvcirkel, Damkapellet and Wolfskin Ensemble. Featuring simple yet heartfelt lyrics, varying instrumentation and idiosyncratic arrangement reminiscent of bands like Jonathan Richman, Destroyer and St Vincent, the music focuses on our relationships with each other with ourselves. The moments, the places, the people that shaped the way you see yourself. It sounds like a pizza party, with your favourite person in the world.
