Coby Sey
Coby Sey er en producer, musiker og DJ fra den blomstrende DIY-scene i det sydøstlige London, som også tæller kollegerne Micachu, Brother May, Tirzah, Babyfather, Klein og ikke mindst det kunstneriske kollektiv Curl, som han selv er medstifter af. Coby Seys soloprojekt er rundet af den distinkte sydøst-londonske lyd, men er samtidig helt sit eget. I et skævt take på klubmusik eksperimenterer han med at smelte hip-hop, jazz, grime og dub ned til en vuggende, dekonstrueret og industrial-agtig dansemusik med underspillet, mumlende vokal, som det bedst høres på “Whities 010: Transport for Lewisham” (2017) og “River” (2020). Live forstærkes de dragende og drømmeagtige produktioner af tæt dub og tunge, knasende beats. Coby Sey har gæstet ALICE flere gange, bl.a. med Curl, og vi kan ikke vente til han vender tilbage til København i august.

Fine Glindvad
Fine er en singer/songwriter og producer der arbejder med at væld af genrer. Hendes ofte spontant opståede/komponerede sange viser, at intuition kan virke både frisættende og afgrænsende, båed kan forsimple og komplicere. De fleste vil genkende Fines stemme og lyd fra bandet Chinah, hvor hun er vokalist og producer.

Det københavnske undegrundspladeselskab Escho, der før har lavet kunstneriske samarbejder med Coby Sey, har sammensat en særlig impro-konstellation til aftenen, livegroup. livegroup består denne aften af Astrid Sonne, Agnete Hannibal, Emil Elg, Michala Petri & Nis Bysted.

Vega, Escho, Another Life and ALICE are proud to present a night of Coby Sey’s (Curl) shifting, disorienting vision of club music with hints of hip-hop and industrial + Fine Glindvad (Chinah), the impro constellation livegroup and Another Life DJs.

Coby Sey
Coby Sey is a vocalist, musician and DJ, who, after years spent buzzing around the DIY artist circuitry of South East London (also counting Sey’s colleagues Micachu, Brother May, Tirzah, Babyfather, Klein and the artist collective Curl) has developed a distinctive presence as a performer and producer offering a shifting, disorienting vision of club music. Sey's music – as best evidenced on 'Whities 010: Transport for Lewisham' (2017) and 'River' (2020) – is reflective of his vast spectrum of influences, yet he remains undeniably uniquely himself; experimenting with live instrumentation and electronic-based productions, melding sounds with introspective lyrics into a dubbed-out anaesthesia. Live, these dreamlike compositions are imbued with a heavy, uneasy dancefloor energy, often abetted by live vocals. Coby Sey has also played at ALICE several times, and we can’t wait to have him back in August.

Fine Glindvad
Fine is a singer/songwriter and producer working within a mix of genres. Her songs, often created in the spur of the moment, reveal how intuition can be both free and constricted, simple and detoured. Listeners may recognize Fines voice and sound from the band Chinah where she is the vocalist and producer.

The Copenhagen-based underground label Escho, who has previously worked with Coby Sey, will present livegroup: an impro constellation specifically put together for this occasion, consisting of Astrid Sonne, Agnete Hannibal, Emil Elg, Michala Petri & Nis Bysted.
