Seaworld x Optika Studio: Ved Siden Af

After one cancelled event and about 19 months of deep sea sleep, we are once again surfacing with another evening of pure aquatic amusement under the sweatiest ceiling in the North. The first episode in the post-pandemic season of Seaworld is a true sunken treasure hunt: We have prepared a 6-course seafood tasting menu of local & international techno & trance pearls.
Once again we are engaging our dearest siblings in Optika Studio to score a daring visual symphony of light, lasers, LED and plastic objects of a poor quality, all to create multisensoral menagerie for you to indulge in.

As this evenings grand chef d'oeuvre, we are flying in LAG (he/him) directly from the Republic of Serbia. Lag is an internationally acclaimed DJ and producer with a portfolio of immensely slamming records including some renowned releases on Mord Records. Lag has a background in both punk and classical music education, but he chose techno to be his métier resulting in an unmistakably spicy sound. Prepare for 4-deck beat-buffet of supersonic hyperloop grooves when this massive headliner enters the booth.

HARMINA KLANG (she/her) is a new-found friend of ours, and we are more than excited to invite this boothkiller for her inauguration in VSA’s rustique interior. Harmina is representing south-Swedens new wave of frantically pupil-dilating breakneck techno and is a member of the infamous Technoasis crew. For this headliner, we can with uttermost accuracy predict exactly one hundred and twenty minutes of ferociously faceslapping 150+BPM bombs with 0% acid-shyness.

TINO (he/him) is almost like a son to us. Last year we had the great pleasure of releasing his magnus opus debut-EP on Seaworld Records, and it is with great honour and a little watery-eyes that we can now finally install him behind the NXS’s at an actual Seaworld event. How fast they grow up! Tino’s style is a hyperactive multilayered percussion-palette of industrial scale that only a mad person would dream up!

To polish off the basement menu we are once again presenting our very own JOHANNES ASTRUP (he/him) to warm up the floor before the headliners. Johannes was the other artist to emerge with a frenetically floorfilling five-track debut on Seaworld Records last year, and we fell absolutely confident that he’s gonna crack up a great can of dolphin-safe killerwhale oldschool/newschool tooly-techno banger tunes.

For the upstairs varité, we have narrated a tantalizing trancefloor: MY GANDER (she/her) is another first-timer at a Seaworld event. My is a member of the mysterious local BunkerBauer-crew, and is also hosting her own series of events at Ved Siden Af, Pader Noster, together with her notorious partner-in-crime Matriark. My plays a deep and foresty type of trance that elegantly draws on both melodic retro-sounds, hardtrance and modern dark psy. Prepare for a flourescent float tank venture in sound and other waves in the high halls of the VSA upstairs.

The upstairs lineup also boasts our very own ANDERS HORSE (he/him) for his first time behind the wheels of Ved Siden Af. Anders took up DJing during the dark ages of the plague, and have so far mostly played under the radar at uncharted areas of Jylland. But now he is armed and ready to blow the roof of Tivoli, with an unreal set of all-classic trance bangers.

On Friday and Saturday there will be one Safer Space Ambassador from Ved Siden Af walking around the party making sure that everybody is having a good time. They will be wearing a black T-shirt with Ved Siden Af logo and ‘safer space’ written to mark them. Please do not hesitate to contact them if you experience something unpleasant or have questions.

As a new initiative, we have put up a donation box for LGTBQ+ DANMARK Asylum department in the entrance upstairs. So if you feel rich, please don't hesitate to donate a bit, either in the box or to LGBTQ+ DANMARKS Mobilepay on 531666 - please write 'Asyl' on all donations.
Furthermore, if you are on the guest-list we require that you donate before you can enter the party.

SAFER SPACE POLICY
It is our goal that anyone visiting our club, regardless of sexuality, gender, outfit (or lack thereof), build or ethnicity feels the safe and inclusive atmosphere that Ved Siden Af is built upon.
This is a big task to handle all by ourselves, so we kindly ask everyone to keep their eyes and ears open for bad and inappropriate behavior around the club. If you see or experience any harassment and/or unwanted attention, please DO NOT hesitate to contact any of our staff or security with your issue.
Our guests' comfort and well-being is our highest priority and no issue is too small for us to take serious.
If the discomfort is real to you, it is real to us.

NO PHONES ON OUR DANCEFLOORS
Our space is a place for freedom of expression without the all-seeing eye of social media, therefore photos and videos are not allowed inside our space. Due to this, we demand that everyone leave all cameras, Instagram, Snapchat etc. in the wardrobe. Breaking this rule will result in an early trip home.
Furthermore, if you are on the dance floor, please refrain from activity on your phone, we make the dance floor for dancing, not for updating yourself on your latest Facebook feed or checking out your new Tinder matches. If you need to use your phone, please go do it in the lobby, lounge or at least not in the middle of a moving floor. It kills the vibe.
