MoE
MoE is a Norwegian rock band trapped inside two experimental musicians.
A janus-faced duo that is constantly drawn in both a melodic and abstract direction and is hard to categorize.
For more than 15 years MoE have challenged the borders of music in a wide variety of formats.
With saxophonist Mette Rasmussen they walked along the edge of free jazz, with the Japanese legends Keiji Haino and Ikuro Takahashi they have looked inside territories they hardly thought existed, with Lasse Marhaug they have sculpted monumental arctic noise, with Painjerk they have built bridges between electronic noise and rock music, and over the years the power trio situation has been deeply explored with a multitude of drummers from all over the world.
But the duo format has been the core ever since the dawn of the band in 2008, and when they first tuned their compass to the sound of the likes of Suicide and DNA.

EVICSHEN
is the nom de guerre of sound artist, experimental music performer, and inventor Victoria Shen (she/her). Based in San Francisco, Shen's sound practice is concerned with the spatiality/physicality of sound and its relationship to the human body. Her music features analog modular synthesizers, vinyl/resin records, and self-built electronics. Shen's music eschews conventions in harmony and rhythm in favor of extreme textures and gestural tones.
Shen is notably the inventor of Needle Nails, acrylic nails with embedded turntable needles allowing her to play up to 5 tracks of a record at once. Shen's DIY approach extends beyond just instruments but also music releases. Her debut LP, Hair Birth, features copper album art that transforms the cover into a loudspeaker through which the record can be played. Recently, Shen has started releasing hand-made resin records embedded with found materials, each piece functions not only as playable music media but as unique art objects.
Maria Bertel
Is a danish trombone player, improviser and composer. The acoustic sound of her instrument amplified creates an output that draws inspiration from drone and noise music. What is normally not hearable is presenting itself, movements, metal and breath becomes a swirling part of her compositions. Changing organic patterns are emerging, tiny sounds becomes brutally clear as well as the range of overtones of the instrument.
