Dansk-japanske Terkel Atsushi Røjle lægger vejen forbi Union med sit melankolske univers af nørklet og charmerende indie.
Atusji er lige nu aktuel med albummet ‘Slowboat til Asakusa’, der er hans første dansksprogede udgivelse. Albummet er inspireret af Atusjis eget ophav, kulturel splittelse, tab og meget andet, der alt sammen kommer fra hjertet.
‘Slowboat til Asakusa’ følger albumtrilogien ‘Soapbox Vol 1, 2 og 3’, hvor det sidste album blandt andet havde besøg af både Helena Gao og Brimheim.
Atusji har høstet gode anmeldelser i Politiken og Soundvenue, skrevet musik til Netflix-serien ‘Terrace House’, samt spillet Roskilde Festivals Rising-scene og til Vegas Udvalgte. Med fuldt band åbner Atusji Unions program under dette års Copenhagen Jazz Festival og medbringer sit melankolske univers af nørklet og charmerende indie.

I Union inviterer vi til en række eklektiske koncerter, som på hver deres måde afsøger jazzens grænseområder. Du skal med andre ord ikke forvente dig traditionel jazz, men derimod en rejse ned til jazzens globale rødder.

Danish-Japanese Terkel Atsushi Røjle opens up his melancholic universe of sophisticated and charming indie.
Atusji, is currently releasing the album ‘Slowboat to Asakusa’, his first Danish-language release. The album is inspired by Atusji's own origins, cultural division, loss and much more, all of which comes from the heart.
‘Slowboat to Asakusa’ follows the album trilogy Soapbox Vol. 1, 2, and 3, with the final album featuring guest appearances from artists like Helena Gao and Brimheim.
Atusji has received positive reviews in Politiken and Soundvenue, composed music for the Netflix series Terrace House, and performed at Roskilde Festival’s Rising stage as well as Vegas Udvalgte. With a full band, Atusji opens the program at this year's Copenhagen Jazz Festival at Union and brings its melancholic universe of sophisticated and charming indie for us al to enjoy.

In Union, we invite you to enjoy a series of exciting eclectic concerts, which explore the borderlands of jazz. In other words, you should not expect traditional jazz, but rather a journey to the global roots of jazz.
