Open Call for art during Specialefestivalen 2024

Specialefestivalen is an annual thesis festival, scheduled for September 27 – 28, 2024, hosted at Station Innovation House (Howitzvej 30, 2000 Frederiksberg).

Our ambition is to incorporate art that explores the different themes of the festival into this year's program.

Therefore, we're looking for early career / non-academically trained artists, who work with durational work, for example, performance art (including video recordings of performance art pieces) / short films / animations, or sculpture/ site-specific installation, or an unexpected hybrid of these mediums.

We’re interested in artworks that explore the following themes:
- Future of Work
- Sustainability
- Biology and Health
- AI and Immersive Technology
- Inclusion, Society, and Democracy

We accept both new works, produced specifically for the festival as well as existing works that align with one or more of the themes above.

Presenting your work as part of Specialefestivalen 2024 entails the following:
- Sharing your artistic practice with a diverse audience from the greater Copenhagen area
- Artist fee of 2000 DKK and a project budget of up to 3000 DKK (the project budget covers all costs related to production, programming, transport, etc.)
