Michelle Gurevich indtager Hotel Cecil med lo-fi noir og dekadent artpop.
Michelle Gurevich, tidligere Chinawoman, har på tværs af en række anmelderroste album opnået international anerkendelse for sit dragende noir-univers, som svæver mellem rørende melodier, mørk humor og skyggefuld glamour.
Som datter af en russisk ballerina og en ingeniør fra Leningrad er hun vokset op med gamle plader fra Sovjet-tiden, hvilket for alvor afspejler sig i hendes dystre sange, der er lige dele Nico, David Bowie og Leonard Cohen. Hendes musik er desuden blevet brugt til catwalks hos Fendi, Yves Saint Laurent, Dries Van Noten og Victoria Beckham.
Den 4. december kommer hun til Hotel Cecil i kølvandet af sit seneste album "It Was The Moment"
