Dana Alshihaby lægger vejen forbi Union 20. februar og fylder huset med smukke arabiske kvart-toner blandet med vestlige jazz-toner. Med inspiration i sin egen kultur blander Dana Alshihaby sprog og musikgenrer, og bygger bro mellem mennesker og kulturer. Du vil opleve Dana Alshihaby sammen med duoen Bilal Irshed og Rasmus Møldrup, som er gamle kendinge på Union, hvor de har spillet flere gange. På henholdsvis oud og kontrabas, er de med til at fortolke en nøje udvalgt samling klassiske arabiske sange i helt nye versioner.

Den landsdækkende musikfestival Vinterjazz sætter musikken tilbage på landkortet den 30. januar - 23. februar 2025. I Union inviterer vi til en række spændende jazzkoncerter, som på hver deres måde afspejler Unions eklektiske kulturprogram. Du skal med andre ord ikke forvente dig traditionel jazz, men derimod en rejse ned til jazzens globale rødder.

With Bilal Irshed on oud and Rasmus Møldrup on double bass, Dana Alshihaby mixes both tones and cultures for this year's Winter Jazz in Union.
Dana Alshihaby will be stopping by Union on 20 February to fill the house with beautiful Arabic quarter tones mixed with Western jazz tones. Inspired by her own culture, Dana Alshihaby mixes languages and music genres, and builds bridges between people and cultures. You will experience Dana Alshihaby together with the duo Bilal Irshed and Rasmus Møldrup, who are old acquaintances at Union, where they have played several times. On oud and double bass, respectively, they will help interpret a carefully selected collection of classic Arabic songs in completely new versions.

Vinterjazz in Union:
The concert program in Union is part of the nationwide music festival Vinterjazz on 30 January - 23 February 2025. In Union, we invite you to a range of exciting jazz concerts, each of which in their own way reflects Union's eclectic cultural programme. In other words, you should not expect traditional jazz, but rather a journey to the global roots of jazz.
The doors open at 19:00. The concert starts at 20:00.
