A meeting that started in Japan.
Halvcirkel encountered Monk Beat, a crystal bowl player and recording engineer working from a 200-year-old temple studio.
Using wave-based sound techniques, his tones resonate physically in the body as much as in the room.
Halvcirkel’s strings meet these deep vibrations in a one-off collaborative set.
Slow, immersive, and gently disorienting.
Pauline Hogstrand
Composer and violist working between acoustic and electroacoustic sound.
Her music moves slowly through detailed textures, intimate noise and shifting structures.
New material built from a shattered mandolin, stretched into microtonal fields and overtone layers.
A focused listening space where control meets collapse.
