Posh Isolation x Nikolaj Kunsthal

Posh Isolation præsenterer 13. marts en stærk musikalsk femkløver, der optræder midt i Nedre Galleri, der aktuelt danner rammerne om udstillingen 'Breaking Darkness', som med afsæt i Lars von Triers oeuvre omdanner Nikolaj Kunsthal til en totalinstallation, der udvisker skellet mellem billedkunst og film.

Bag Posh Isolation står vennerne Christian Stadsgaard og Loke Rahbek, der gennem mere end 15 år har fungeret som et frugtbart epicenter og katalysator for den eksperimenterende københavnske undergrundsscene. Til aftenens arrangement i Nikolaj Kunsthal har de kurateret et stærkt program, der viser noget af den kompromisløse kvalitet og afsøgende mangfoldighed, der findes i deres projekter og udgivelser.

Koncertrækken foregår midt i udstillingen "Breaking Darkness", der er en totalinstallatorisk hyldest til den unikke danske filmskaber Lars von Trier. Udstillingen udfolder Lars von Triers univers i fem stedsspecifikke installationer, der er fordelt i alle kunsthallens gallerier. Nedre Galleri, hvor koncerterne foregår, er dedikeret til filmværket "Melancholia" (2011). Installationen her er skabt i samarbejde med bl.a. Solitude Studios, hvis bidrag tæller moslignede lianer, der snor sig op af søjler og gulv – og bringer naturen helt ind i rummet!

On Thursday 13 March, Posh Isolation takes over the lofty Lower Gallery with a select group of artists, performing within the current exhibition "Breaking Darkness", a site-specific homage to the unique filmmaker Lars von Trier.

Posh Isolation is the brainchild of friends Christian Stadsgaard and Loke Rahbek, who for over 15 years have been at the heart of the experimental underground music scene in Copenhagen. For this evening’s event at Nikolaj Kunsthal, they’ve curated a strong lineup that showcases the uncompromising quality and exploratory diversity that defines their projects and releases.

The concert series will take place within the exhibition "Breaking Darkness", a total installation celebrating the distinctive Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier. The exhibition explores Trier’s universe through five site-specific installations scattered throughout the art hall. The Lower Gallery, where the concerts will take place, is dedicated to the film "Melancholia" (2011). The installation here has been created in collaboration with, among others, Solitude Studios, with contributions including moss-like vines climbing up columns and floors, bringing nature right into the space!
