kl. 18.30: Zeki Jindyl
kl. 19.30: JAURNOW
kl. 20.30: A Concert in a Darkroom by Frederik Engell and Sharon Kumaraswamy
Zeki Jindyl
Zeki Jindyl is an experimental alto saxophonist who draws inspiration from Arabic folk music, punk, progressive rock and ambient in his playing and in his composition style. For this concert, he has brought the band Narcosatánicos who are going to perform co-written music from their upcoming record.
Narcosatánicos more or less sound as if you’re entering a casino in the darkest corner of hell, high rolling and debauching with the demons, Cenobites and fiends. You’d think a Danish sextet combining prog rock, doom metal, free jazz, Afrobeat and post-punk would have some kind of overwrought esoteric backstory. But once you blast their fantastic 2016 lp ‘BODY CULTS’, it becomes abundantly clear Narcosatánicos simply love to boogie, sashay and skulk across music’s most elusive alleyways.
These sonic scavengers have built up quite the hefty live-reputation too, finding that sweet spot between pure rock ‘n roll swagger and bold experimentalism. Composed of three guitarists, a saxophone player, a bass player and a drummer, Narcosatánicos create a Dionysian world where rotten, discordant moods mingle with scenes of romance and exoticism. Truly a fascinating cataclysm of a band, an ungodly thrill ride no one can properly prepare for.

A Concert in a Darkroom by Frederik Engell and Sharon Kumaraswamy
A firm kick drum opens your chest and an innocent glockenspiel lurs you in. A wet bass slaps you hard while a tender synth calms you down. Tactile experiences and references gathered from the far corners of the web. Penetrating your ears. Mother lust with all its children. A 60-minute twosome concert in the dark, but with consent and trust, we invite you to listen, watch and enjoy the concert.
