Global Rhythm Excursion - ITALIA Edition

Join our "Global Rhythm Excursion" Thursday Bar and venture around the world in search of inspiring new sounds! The evening will be curated by top local DJs sharing a selection from their motherland.

This edition we will travel to Italy, with music provided by Toni Mascarella (Bologna, IT).

By the time he arrived in Copenhagen around 12 years ago Tony was already a veteran of Bologna's vibrant music scene. Bass player and heavy bass frequencies addicted, he cut his teeth as a 'sound boy' playing rock steady on local sound systems, this lead to his love of soul and gritty funk. He was soon filling dancehalls throughout Italy and Europe, hosting independent radio shows in his home town of Bologna and rocking together with his "chourmo" the legendary Funkyvag the hottest funk dance floor in town. He is still spreading the musical love in Copenhagen with regular sessions at 'Funky Tuesday' and Sohesten to name but a few.

FYI: Before we go on the excursion there will be an open deck session where everyone is welcomed to play and share music with one another. This evening is in the spirit of jamming together and build a place for the community in Copenhagen to connect, share, socialise and of course dance!
