📌 PINEALE is a free impro open collective from South Italy that aims to explore different sonic landscapes blending free jazz, abstract electronics and contemporary music. The result is a delirious and violent sound flow made of harmonic chaos and organic textures.
The pineal gland was the last of the endocrine glands to be discovered and scientists still aren’t fully sure of all of its functions.
The pineal gland has long been a “mysterious” organ; Pineale intertwines its music with the concept of unknown and mystery: a trip into dreamlike minks, into something unpredictable, sometimes grotesque, sometimes powerful and scary.
The pineal gland was commonly called the “third eye”; many spiritual traditions believe it serves as a connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.
Pineale wants to lead you into an intermediate dimension where all the expressions are allowed, where unreal seems real and where an instrument finds another self in a reflected distorted image.
Starting from 2021, Pineale begins an intense collaboration alongside the italian producer and sound artist PiroPiro.
Each Pineale performance is conceived as a unique "happening" and as an opportunity for the collective to shape itself in a new form.
