Seaworld @ Den Anden Side

Hello. After a couple of months adrift, your most dedicated diving instructors are once again ashore with new lessons in marine biology. The next season of Seaworld will be shot in the freshly baptized halls of Den Anden Side - an establishment so huge that the Mariana Trench will feel like a dipping pool in comparison. We sincerely hope that you are properly dressed for a moist menagerie of groovy and pounding techno with absolutely zero shortage of seamanship. For this volume of the Seaworld saga we have summoned a smashing symphony that will tap all your blue mana: Say ahoy to:

VIL (he/him) is at the forefront of the hightide of funky hardgroove techno that is splashing in over the continent from the south of Europe. Also referred to as “The Groove Dealer”, this portuguese producer and DJ magician is a member of the infamous Lissabon based Hayes Collective, and he is more than ready to rattle the mesh walls of DAS.

HUAMANISER (she/her) is a self-declared “techno playgirl” and we are extraordinarily excited to sail her in for her first variety on the Isle of Zealand. Based in Berlin but originating in Spain, her latin-roots are ever present in her selections and the dancers are guaranteed to leave the floor soaked in saucy techno.

Everybody knows NO ONE (he/him). This spanish-born but locally based superstar techno DJ is closing down the festivities with a very long lane of 150 BPMs butterfly. Step right up and flap your fins to the rhythm of deeply groovy and ghostly techno when No-One is steering the booth for his first time at a Seaworld event.

As the last drop, our very own first mate JOHANNES ASTRUP (he/him) is opening the ballet with 2000 nautical miles of bottom trawl beats that will make even Kevin Costner in Waterworld seem like land crab. Hallelujah.

DOOR SELECTION
Den Anden Side is queer at heart, and so are our values. Every night, we facilitate a safer space and place of belonging for marginalised people and the LGBTQIA+ community. If you are not part of these communities, please be extra mindful of how you take up space. We always balance the crowd to create the vibe we want, so we reserve the right to reject people at the door without explanation.

AWARENESS TEAM
Our awareness team is present at the club every weekend. You can recognise them by their shirts that say “SAFER SPACE”. They are professionals trained to deal with sensitive and urgent situations of any kind. Please do not hesitate to contact them if you feel uncomfortable for any reason. Your feeling of safety and well-being is our highest priority and no issue is too small for us to take seriously. If the experience is real to you, it is real to us.

CONSENT
Consent is the foundation of interaction in our space. Whether it’s conversation, dance, physical contact, consumption or sexual activities — we expect everyone to ensure that it’s happening with consent and respect for your own and others’ boundaries.

SUBSTANCES
If you cannot take care of yourself, you are making the space less safe. We need you to be just as mindful of your own safety as you are of your fellow dancers’. If you feel unwell or are worried about another guest, don’t hesitate to contact our awareness team.

NO PHOTOS AND NO PHONES
Den Anden Side is a place for freedom of expression without the all-seeing eye of social media. Therefore, photos and videos are not allowed inside our space. Please refrain from using your phone on the dance floor. We created the dance floor for dancing.

ACCESSIBILITY
Be aware that we use flashing lights and loud sound, and that it can get hot and crowded inside the club. Unfortunately, the space is not accessible with a wheelchair.

RESPECT FOR OUR SURROUNDINGS
Please show respect to the Palads building and the area around it. Do not leave any empty bottles or trash in the area or do any form of vandalism to the building or the surroundings. We also ask everyone not to hang around the area after the club closes, as we want to maintain a good relationship with the cinema and not disturb their guests.
