Den Anden Side's First Year Around the Sun

12 moons ago, we emerged from our old dungeon at Vesterbrogade and swung open the doors to a brand new club experience in the basement below Palads. It feels like it was only yesterday that we were tearing up floors, installing mesh walls, potting plants, and fine-tuning the Funktion One to prepare Copenhagen for a fresh and upgraded club experience. So much has happened since then, and we've learned a lot. None of it would have been possible without the support of all of you!

Our first journey around the sun will be celebrated with a 3-day birthday bash starting on Thursday, November 2, featuring a lineup curated by HÖR and AIAIAI. For Friday and Saturday, we've invited a gang of local superstar DJs who have played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of Den Anden Side. The lineups are completed with international additions including Berghain-resident Boris, London-based FOLD-resident Xavier, rising trance star DINA based in Berlin, and techno sweetheart RQVX from Frankfurt.

Also, the weekend program includes a GOGO-performance by Proxy, and a screening of queer short films presented by Copenhagen Short Film Festival.

We cordially invite all of you to join us for this 3-day birthday extravaganza in these 666 sub-cinema square meters that have quickly become our home.

Wardrobe: Lockers are free to use with a lock. Bring your own or purchase one for 35 DKK at the entrance.

DOOR POLICY
We expect that everyone who enters Den Anden Side is familiar with the event of the night and our house rules. We reserve the right to deny anyone entrance without explanation, and we prioritise queers and minoritised people. When we are close to full capacity, we always prioritise our regulars.

We acknowledge that for some, the conversation with the picker at the door can be stressful. It is always possible to reach out to us at guestlist@denandenside.com in advance of an event if the door situation is triggering or uncomfortable for you. Please include your name(s) and a few words about your situation.

AWARENESS
Our awareness team is present at the club every weekend. You can recognise them by their bright green shirts that say “AWARENESS”. Please do not hesitate to contact them if you feel uncomfortable for any reason. If you are unable to locate the awareness team, the other staff can call them for you.

ACCESSIBILITY AND CARE
Be aware that we use flashing lights and loud sound, and that it can get hot and crowded inside the club. Unfortunately, the space is not accessible with a wheelchair. If you have a concern or questions about accessibility or facilities, please reach out to us in DM.
Protect your ears. Earplugs can be bought in the bar.
First aid supplies can be found in the bar or by contacting our awareness team.
