Mycelium is the underground network that forms the root system of fungi. The network absorbs nutrients from the environment and sends electrical signals to mushrooms, resembling the function of human brains. Through a series of events, Den Anden Side will strive to grow an underground network that can connect all the sources of creative energy that we see popping up in Denmark, Scandinavia, and the rest of the planet. Hopefully, our mycelium network can grow and persist through the soil of electric music and provide nutrients to all the little fungi on the scene.
For the second round of Mycelium, we have invited a lineup of international and local artists, all of whom deliver hot and deep grooves in their own personal way.
23:00 - 00:00 Talk: Hyphae - Mycelium in Architecture
00:00 - 02:30 Cockwhore & macho
02:30 - 05:30 BASHKKA
05:30 - end Anastasia Kristensen b2b Martinez
INTERNATIONAL HEADLINER: BASHKKA
The name may be derived from the Turkish word for different, and BASHKKA is indeed a unique artist. Her sound is shaped by New York’s Black and Brown trans community, by Berghain's Panorama Bar, and by her hometown, Munich, where she holds a residency at Blitz Club. Layers of percussion, old-school house vocal samples, and warm synth stabs are woven together in a rhythmic pattern that is sensual, hypnotic, and always forward-driving. Besides moving dancefloors worldwide, BASHKKA is also a strong political voice advocating queer representation and decolonial advancement for the electronic music scene.

LOCAL DJS: ANASTASIA KRISTENSEN B2B MARTINEZ + COCKWHORE & MACHO
The lineup is also adorned by two back-to-back sets of local heroes for this second installment of Mycelium. DAS resident Anastasia Kristensen is joining house & techno producer Martinez for a unique closing session, while the legendary duo Cockwhore & Macho will be delivering their sassy and housey sound for the opening set. Prepare for some hot and bouncy tunes all night!

TALK: HYPHAE
The club will be open from 23:00, featuring a discussion and Q&A session led by Hyphae. Hyphae is a researcher by day and a DJ by night, who will introduce her own research on the use of mycelium in the discipline of architecture. Claudia, a PhD student at Det Kongelige Akademi in Copenhagen, is exploring the relationship between biology and architecture. Her research focuses on bio-materials, digital fabrication, and computational design to create bio-hybrid architectures that integrate living complexes functionally.
VISUAL ART: WILL & SYD
Once again, we are installing projection art pieces created by our two in-house visual artists, Will & Syd, to fulfill the fungi experience.
Join us for a squishy night!
