For the first ever edition made at Wee Press, Gregor Fuchs has created 6 new individual prints.
The prints are a mix of hard ground etching, dry point and soft ground etchings in multiple colors and varying dimensions.
In Fuchs’s work there seems to be strong narrative concerning observations of the mundane. In Fuchs’s new series of prints he presses urgency to easily overlooked everyday encounters.
This attention to detail produces an eerie yet immersive universe.
A quiet apartment building or a lone tree in a square, the framed painting in a bar, things you pass by everyday but rarely notice.
Through a mix of morbid seriousness, deadpan humor and a sense of romance, Fuchs’s images urges you to take a look at what surrounds you and how it makes you feel inside.
Gregor Fuchs, b. 1996, Austria. He studied drawing and printmaking at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, and now lives and works in Copenhagen.

The 6 editions are produced in collaboration with Wee Press and are made in editions of 6.
An exhibition of the prints will be held at Wee Press, Østrigsgade 17, porten 2300 Kbh S, on the 11th of March from 12:00 – 18:00.
