Sarah Buchner is a vocalist based in Copenhagen. Her music is a play with the shape shifting capabilities of the voice.
In her solo performances she is combining breath-in-and-out cycles with mouth and tongue sounds to change the voice from a instrument of emotional expression into an anonymous sound source. Sonically, she is inspired by electronic music and ASMR. She is drawn towards mixing close-up mics and the acoustics of the room she performs in. She tries to confuse our wish to identify a person via their voice - diffuse perception of persona by deception through sound. In her new ALBUM girls choir she built a abstract audio play out of hundreds of vocal recordings.
Margo Sanda is a versatile artist working in music creation, performance, and multimedia arts. Born in Lake Garda, Italy, she has lived in Bolzano, Florence, Rome, and Berlin before moving to Copenhagen, where she studies at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory.
With three EPs released, Margo blends avant-garde songwriting, free improvisation, and computer-based deconstruction, combining electronic effects with acoustic elements to create dynamic and expressive soundscapes. Her music is defined by contrasts and sudden shifts, striking a delicate balance between structure and spontaneity. Her vocals draw from the dramatic style of ’60s-’70s Italian singers, combined with a sharp, contemporary spoken word edge. For her live performance, she will be joined by drummer Peter Balhar and bassist Ulysse Loup.
