NEW GENEROUS x Ved Siden Af

Come join us at Ved Siden Af for an early Friday night of dance, music and art, focusing on body interaction. Be a spectator, be a participator, be an initiator. Have a drink, dance a dance and take in your surroundings. Everybody is welcome and we strongly encourage you to be there from the very start!

The evening begins with an Opening: a warm welcome and a guided introduction to an inclusive, free and curious dance floor. Music consists of a live-set and a DJ-set presenting ambient, experimental and techno. Art installations add yet a dimension to time and space. We want to merge the concert, exhibition and dance jam spaces with the surroundings and the vibe of a club.

NEW GENEROUS aims for a dance-centred community-feel nightlife. We explore and expand physical interaction, being generous with ourselves and generous towards others. Our focus is on the moving sensing body, not appearances.

NEW GENEROUS embraces techno culture and dance floor energy, but seeks to widen our way of moving within clubs, public spaces and in everyday life. Through improvisation, physical contact and play we want to expand our physical dialogue and increase awareness and curiosity towards the moving body, both our own and others.

The dance floor is a marked space for desexualised body movement. Physical contact and interaction should always be based on mutual awareness and sensibility. Ved Siden Af’s official Safer Space policy applies. No racism, no homophobia, no transphobia and no sexism. No photos or phones on the dance floor – we experience our bodies here and now!

Free entry, everybody is welcome and everyone can dance. We encourage dancers to bring a non-dancer and vice versa. +18

Due to the architecture of the space there's unfortunately no room for entering with a wheel chair.
