The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts' Bachelor Exhibition 2023 - Opening reception

Kom og oplev årets bachelorudstilling, som markerer afslutningen på de tre første år som billedkunststuderende på Kunstakademiet.

Udstillingen finder sted på Fabrikken for Kunst og Design i perioden 19.-28. maj. Fernisering d. 19. maj kl. 16:00-20:00

De studerende skriver om udstillingen:

"Vi glæder os til at invitere alle til vores bachelorudstilling, som markerer afslutningen på tre års kunstnerisk og kollektiv udvikling.

Udstillingen er en kulmination af vores individuelle praksisser, men ligeledes en kollektiv Proces, som har virkeliggjort værkernes samspil.

Bygningens rummelighed har muliggjort en eksperimenterende kuratering på tværs af forskellige medier. Fabrikkens udendørsareal vil fungere som udvidelse af udstillingsrummet.

I udstillingsperioden vil Plaza stå for bar og socialt samlingspunkt. Plaza er et projekt startet af studerende Santino Santillana på Kunstakademiet i 2022, som fungerer som fællesdrevet café og opholdsrum.

We are excited to invite everyone to our Bachelor exhibition, which marks the end of three years of our artistic and collective development. The exhibition is a culmination of our individual practices within a collective process that is manifested at the exhibition, in the interplay between our artworks.

The exhibition takes place at Fabrikken for Kunst og Design (Factory for Art and Design) from May 19th-28th. The curatorial decisions have taken into account the building’s spaciousness, and the fact that it is a site of production where other artists’ have their studios, Fabrikken’s outdoor area is also activated as an extension of the exhibition space.

Plaza will contribute as a bar and social meeting point during the exhibition period. Plaza is a project started in 2022 by Santino Santillana a BFA2 student at the academy, that functions as a collectively run café and common space at the academy.
