Balanced is the project of Copenhagen-based Jinsu, a party series for connecting the local scene to like-minded international artists, sharing a common sense for a playful and welcoming dance floor. With the intention to present underground music that’s refined yet danceable and fun, the party strikes a balance between traces of tech house, deep house, progressive and trance.

Collaborating with other lesser-known creatives within the local community is one main reason to do these events, so Balanced is not only a club-night with DJ’s, but also aspires to offer a platform for other forms of art.
For the first event, Jinsu invites London based Lora Mipsum for an all night deep music affair, while the site-specific painting of Silas Wirén will tranport us into's Balanced multidisciplinary creative vision.

Lora Mipsum (She/Her - UK)

Effortlessly blending the nostalgic sounds of '90s and 2000s progressive house and trance with tripped-out, tech-infused selections, Lora Mipsum has been captivating dance floors across the UK, Europe, Australia, and beyond. Her seamless
integration of textures and transcendent energy has firmly placed her within the psychedelic stratosphere of the dance music world.

Beyond the decks, Lora co-runs WHOMP, a fast-rising, not-for-profit party in collaboration with ANNX, earning a devoted following in the underground scene.
She is also the founder of slush, a reissue record label breathing new life into timeless classics.

Jinsu (He/Him - DK)

Copenhagen-based Jinsu played local events such as Group Therapy, Kune Festival or Goodness and takes active part in various local DIY initiatives. Informed by many years of curious listening and dancing, his DJ sets welcome eclecticism, depth and a sense of playfulness.

About the artwork by Silas Wirén

“Natteliv” is a site-specific work by Silas Wirén, featuring an almost 4-meter-long oil painting that acts as a scenery for the nightclub’s dance floor. The piece is a painterly interpretation of progressive music, exploring the contrast between analog brushstrokes and electronic rhythms, as well as the interplay between static and dynamic forms. Painted in 7 hours—the duration of the event—to music by Lora Mipsum and Jinsu.
