Energien skifter hele tiden, når groove& går på scenen. Med forskellige, traditionelle percussioninstrumenter fra Korea skaber de en detaljerig , dybt sanselig og, ja, groovy lyd. De tre kvindelige percussionister i groove&, Sangkyung LEE, Minju SOHN, and Hakyung KIM, er anerkendt for deres evner som percussionister hver især. Sammen udforsker de den musikalske samskabelse – hvor meget mere end summen af talentmasse, som der kommer ud af det, når de tre percussionister spiller sammen. With traditional Korean percussion instruments, the three female musicians of groove& create a deeply sensory, detail rich and moving sound rooted in heritage, yet open to bold experimentation.
The energy is constantly shifting when groove& takes the stage. Using a variety of traditional Korean percussion instruments, they craft a sound that’s rich in detail, deeply immersive—and yes, groovy. The three percussionists, Sangkyung LEE, Minju SOHN, and Hakyung KIM, are each celebrated for their individual artistry. Together, they explore the power of musical co-creation—where the outcome becomes much more than the sum of its parts. This spirit of collaboration runs through the entire ensemble, as they dive into the expressive possibilities of percussion. After all, there's a reason they're called groove&!
The trio has previously performed at events such as the Resonator Festival, Forde Festival, MUNDIAL Montreal, and WOMEX in Portugal.
