Sarah Messerschmidt DE/CA is a writer, researcher and casual image-maker, whose curiosities tend toward interrelation and the narrative fragment. Stephanie Bech Madsen DK/US is an artist, researcher and occasional word slinger, whose practice considers social and visual ambivalence.
Together they explore film as a form of writing, and writing as an approach to image-making. Their collaboration is a continuous practice of communication across distance. Share Operation is a sequence of aeriform images and loose poetic verse. Dreamy and dystopic, it was developed using a method of assemblage that mimics the “exquisite corpse” parlour game played by Surrealist artists. The narrative “I” is a character in development, who reveals herself in slow stages as images and text evolve through ongoing intuitive and collaborative composition.

AEON is an exhibition platform for time-based media in a window of the night club Jolene in Kødbyen. The screen is on air all hours of the day, always for everyone forever.
The eternal loop of the exhibited film will connect to future films and thereby create a long abstract narrative with each piece being connected, generating one eternal exhibition that in theory could go on for aeons.
