everything was decided by freestyle poetry
the king of rhymes performed in a room full of feathers
for three silver dogs and a pair of pink ballet shoes
the shoes blushed so hard their ribbons came undone
they kissed as the dogs rose for a tiny standing ovation
they had nothing in common
except for rhythm
