In English:
With their noisy riffs, uncompromising energy, and razor-sharp political commentary, USERS is blowing through the underground. As well is Syringe, whose sound stems from a deep fascination with the gritty and the unconventional. It is going to be a wonderfully chaotic evening at ALICE with these two Danish post-punk bands!
Syringe:
Syringe is fascinated by the gritty and the unconvetional, drawing inspiration from noise, punk, and techno. The group, consisting of Arsene Survie and Lasse B. Beck, began as a solo project in 2011 and has since grown into a cult favorite in the Danish underground. They are now back with new material, as their album Trash Only was released this June.
Syringe is known for their intense and unpredictable concerts, where Christmas trees meet their demise and rather important questions such as “can you play guitar on a skateboard?” are answered. So… expect the unexpected. Get ready to experience Syringe!
USERS:
USERS' high-energy live shows have made them a defining voice on the new punk scene. In an intense outburst of frustration and solidarity, the Danish DIY-post-punk-band unite music and activism; iterating punk traditions with their eyes firmly set on the world’s flashpoints. Their expression is raw, immediate, and impossible to ignore: USERS flips the crowd on its head in a wild, danceable, and community-fueled mosh pit.
The band is reminiscent of acts such as Idles, Shame, and Fontaines DC, as well as The Streets, when spoken-word-passages find their way into the band’s high intensity expression. USERS sing about capitalism, the police, and the world’s head of government, and their first shows took place at protests. Since then, the band has moved from the streets to some of Denmark’s biggest stages, with performances at Den Anden Side, Smukfest, and Roskilde Festival. At this year’s SPOT-festival, their concert was an appreciated, chaotic feature, and with their debut album on the horizon and growing international attention, USERS is a band you don’t want to miss.
